A place to keep my work.
Boogers!
Published on April 24, 2014 By Uvah In Object Desktop

I had re-download Everwood IP because somehow I misplaced it. Anyway...when I clicked on the installer package it refuses to load as do others I've downloaded. They don't show up in the list even after refreshing it. The icons, when I can get it to work, show up as a mix match between MS default icons, the previous IP and the one I wanted. Any chance of a fix, update or anything?

It has been doing this for years now. I finally got tired of the icon mish-mash and stopped using it.

IP needs fixing, not our computers.

Ross, to get packages to load and display properly, you need to do this:

First, unzip the download. Then move the whole folder to Public Documents/Stardock/IconPackager. (or unzip to that location). Then from within the IP Main UI, do the add package from disk thing.  Just browse to that folder and select the IP icon.. That has worked for me. If you just add it from wherever you downloaded to, or extracted to otherwise,  many packages just won't load or will disappear from the UI after you close it.

Okay......all done. I sent an email to support with the .zip. The zip the SDTool generated is on my desktop and I clicked on it to see what was inside, I did not unzip it. Somehow support wasn't able to read it. How can I change it to be a gif or jpg? I don't think that's gonna work. I resent it.

Thanks for this. Been running half windows and half packages, seems like forever.

Did the registry fix and all cleared up.

I looked in the registry and I didn't see that file. Why am I different one?

As do several other programs Stardock refuses to say openly they abandoned them (it seems).

You have to scroll WAAAAY down. It's weird. It goes A to Z, A to Z, A to Z, etc. Just keep scrolling down, looking in the (E sections), you'll find it.

Don't just go to the first E section, in the registry. I hope that makes sense.
