Thanks for posting that Ross, I missed that performance last night because of the station switching to local news for a tornado warning down south of here. She is really, really good. She will go far.
I saw her performance on Yahoo this morning [Aussie time]. Amazing to say the least.
To be honest, 'totally awesome' doesn't do her justice. How about absolutely and completely astounding?
I was always a big Janice Joplin fan, so when I heard Courtney belt out an Otis Redding number in the vein of Janice Joplin I was pleasantly surprised.... not to mention completely astounded. Like WOW, what a voice, and she's just 13 years old.
Yup, Courtney has the talent to go all the way and beyond [X-Factor].
Janice reincarnated....
This time, just keep off the drugs...
I keep watching this over and over, she is sooooooooooooooooooooooo good!
I was floored when I heard her sing. Like Wow!
I thought it was pretty good.. However....
If you do a bit of searching you will see that she is no stranger to the stage at all.
One thing that puts me off about these shows (and I watch most of them) is the deception they create to the public regarding some of the contestants.
Another peeve about them is that everybody has to tell a sob story and cry.
Life happens. Bad things happen. I sympathize with them but I'm dang sure not voting for you just because you cry on TV.
Yes, she has been on small stages in the UK in public events and has done a few YouTube videos Phoon, but the facts are that she has never performed on America's Got Talent, which as you can tell was a huge thing for her. She is only 13 years old, and she did not receive the Golden Buzzer for crying, she got it because she definitely deserved it. I don't think there was any deception involved at all. She is just an excellent singer, period. She will go far IMO.
She put on a really great performance and IMHO is very talented, but I sometimes wonder if giving someone that young the golden buzzer is really a favor. That means she skips intermediate competitions that could have given her valuable experience.
It may not totally awesome but it kind of reminds me of stuff.
Surely you mean Janis? You're getting old, Paul...
??? Surely you mean Janis? You're getting old, Paul...
Starkers called her Janice in the post just before that, so Paul just picked up on it.
Oh c'mon, Mark....
Yes.....I forgot the 'sic' ....
Afterall....I sure know how to spell her name.... 'Pearl' was the very first album I ever bought [would have been 1971]...I was in HSC [Form 6]....turning 17 ...
I love performance like this) golden button is fully deserved. Cheers
