Start up in safe mode and uninstall WB's, reboot, then......

Download WB's and any other stuff from the store.   https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

ODM is buggy as hell, Ross. Sounds like a corrupted download. Also, what AV you using? You may want to disable it while installing WB's.

ODM is buggy as hell

I just found that out. Can't get to safe mode without accessing the desktop so I did one better. While holding the start button I also held down zero and was able to refresh the laptop. Took a long time and it uninstalled all my apps and reinstalled all the crap that comes with windows. I'll need the individual product keys for start 8 and windowblinds. Screw the damn desktop manager. Second time I had to do this.

Ross, you can get the Safe Mode options, along with Start Windows normally by removing the battery  with the unit unplugged while booted up. Then replace it and restart the laptop.

Any loss of power/improper shutdown should bring it up.

Ross, for the record, the product keys for windowblinds and start 8 are the same. Use your ObjectDesktop key. Get it from the store.

I tried that product key. It came back invalid.

EDIT: Went back and reinstalled ODNT. The install went good, windowblinds and start 8 installed and no product key was needed. I guess it was already there. I got no message saying anything about trial versions, a good thing. Otherwise WB would not have installed. So far all is well.

*fingers crossed*

I have never used a product key to install a Stardock app. I've always used my email and password I use to login to the Stardock website. All apps give this option.
