Back Up

finally...

After a couple of months saving up I finally got a 1TB Seagate backup for my laptop. Right now I'm doing a full system backup, a little over two hours to complete. It wasn't expensive, 74.00(USD), but its a lot on a fixed income. Fortunately all my bills are current, up to date, no arrears. I make sure all of that happens before anything else. So now no more worries. I'm using EaseUS ToDo for the backup. To me that's one big relief.

What do you both use the free or home version which is $29.99

I use the free version of EaseUS ToDo and it's very easy. Now I can not atest to how well the software performs as I have not had to do a recovery of my hard drive from the back up, but I have the backup in case the situation ever presents itself.

I am using the paid home version. I have also had to use restore once or twice, and it work perfectly.

Thank you for the info. I worry about limitations on most free stuff. I have everything I would need backed up. But not the entire system. Thinking about a total reformat. would load my stuff on and then do a backup.

I use Easeus To Do Workstation. It's an older version, but still does what I need!

Doc hooked me up back when he had some kind of deal with Easeus and they gave him some giveaways to pass out.

A full system backup, file backup and a disk/partition backup. All my programs are on a flash drive. Now they have have a backup too. I have the free version. Had the workstation awhile back from the same deal but lost it. No matter now that I don't have to worry about it.

The problem I have with every backup software I've tried, including Easus, is that none will scan their catalogs to help you find a backup set containing a particular file. If I notice a file is missing I have to check each backup set until I find the one before the file was deleted. I wrote minicomputer backup software 30 years ago that could find the set or sets containing a file.
