To date...this is the fiurthest I have ever gotten.

I changed the taskbar and buttons. I like 'em. May want to tweak 'em, but I am getting there.

Then I did the start panel. Now, I have read enough to know I SHOULD be going with something simple and square..but I can't. SO I put it all together and in the SKinstudio preview..it looks SWEET.

Then I try to apply it. Well....Windowblinds had a full blown spaz-attack. It refused to apply it. I should take this as a sign. Then I realize it won't let me apply ANY skin. Another sign. SO I restart the PC. SOme random skin has been apploed in restart. I go to MY skin and apply it.

This is why I only ever get so far with this stuff.

I KNOW it's because my start panel is so wrong to begin with..but I am guessing I don't have it split up right? I am open to comments from the Pro's on this. I will probably be seriously medicated by the time you respond but I will be waiting.

Well, I got tired of waiting. Here's what I have now.

Don't ask me WAHT I did or HOW....

It looks 'better' but  it's SO BIG. I'm sure it's a laughable nightmare the way I have it done in Skinstudio to make it work.

Double check the 'extra' tab for each part. the size for the parts should match the actual size of the image. If you have the height set too big, it can stretch your start menu like that.

Another thing to check would be your text margins for the 'item mouseover'. Set the top and bottom text margins to zero. If you have them set too large, it will stretch the start menu too.

I thought the curried cabbage bark was my own, but with the way this WB is shaping up, it looks like the secret will get out and thousands... even millions will share in its glory.

Xiandi, a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for the tips/advice you're giving to help Po`.  Your support, I'm sure, is appreciated by many fun-loving WCer's who'd love to see this WB and associated skins come to fruition... Po` especially.

Po`, you have taken on this project out of the goodness of your heart, and for that I want to thank you. You're doing a marvellous job and I applaud your efforts and determination in difficult circumstances, as I'm sure other community members do also.  Most commendable indeed.

My hat's off to the Master......Po'Smedley......were it not for your expertise and dedication to a just cause the Curried Cabbage WB would be just another footnote in somebody else's history. Everybody yell......YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! for Po.
