I read the article, wasn't too impressed simply because MS continues to pull all kinds of BS without telling anyone. Don't mind the repetition in the article, just scroll down to the last paragraph.

This is probably related to the Bitlocker problem with some upgrades vs. clean installs.  I'm sure it will be resolved shortly.

unclear to me what it means by removing program... as cpuz doesn't really need installation?

According to what I read the programs Win10 takes out it considers potentially harmful to the machine but you can reinstall them afterwards. Like cpuz speccy doesn't need to be installed either so I fail to see any logic in that. As for reinstating CMT, that's a good thing.

I keep getting a notification that Cpuz was removed, due to incompatibility issues, but it is still installed and runs, on Win10.

Odd.

Well, yesterday my laptop would not show the update to Build 10586 in Windows Update, and today it does, so I guess they fixed the issues. Now if I can only find out where to download the ISO's.... anyone know?

Not sure what Tech Bench means or if it's the version I'd want.

From link page:

"

Windows 10 ISO Downloads

Make sure to download both 32-bit and 64-bit images and the languages you'll need for your retail location."

Any info?

I see no need for these headaches.  Long live 7.

Ken, those forum posts were 3 weeks ago, before the release of the "service pack". Threshold 2, or whatever it's called.

lol, Jim I realize that but it answers your question as to what Tech Bench means and that a tech bench version is fine for downloading. The 3 week old post is irrelevant.
