Just a couple of hours ago I saw a post saying WindowBlinds 10.09 Beta was available. Went to the store and downloaded it. Now I come back and the post is no longer there. Did something go awry? Even checked 'my replies' and it isn't there either.

It happens once every 633.7 days or 1.7 years and is 1/129,600,000 of our solar system's 225 million year sojourn around the galactic center. Get your party hats peeps and paaaarty haaaardy!

Lately, more like several months, I've been using Win 10. Despite the fact that I had, past tense, Win 8.1 on my laptop. I no longer do. I have been doing everything on Win 10 now and completely forgot about 8.1 so...I 86'd it. Gained almost 400 gb in the process too. All the proggies I used on Win 8.1 I have on 10 plus I have multiple backups, all external. I guess you could say I succumbed to the inevitable...kinda sorta. Lol

I just saw a report watching nbc news. Its about the laundry pods used to do laundry. They're brightly colored and look like big candies. Ergo...children love candy and these pods are very tempting. Two deaths...several comas... and a few cardiac arrests later doctors say that you should use traditional detergents, make sure the zip lock bags they come in and actually zipped and to keep all detergents out of the reach of children. My question is this...... Why the hell don't the power...

Apple's QuickTime isn't being patched according to the article. I know its on Win7 but not on 8.1 or 10. The Department of Homeland Security urges those who have it to uninstall it due to security flaws.

The article said it does not install any software on its own and it has a just minted Digi-Cert SHA256 certificate MS hasn't seen before. Also it can be used easily by non experienced users to prevent the upgrade. YMMV

Just did a successful install of Windows 10 on a separate partition, got the dual boot. Now I'm trying to istall start 10, WB10 and Objectdock, but they keep failing. I'm told the product key is invalid and that through an offline activation. Neither one will activate with email and product key.

I read the article, wasn't too impressed simply because MS continues to pull all kinds of BS without telling anyone. Don't mind the repetition in the article, just scroll down to the last paragraph.

There are times when a little chuckle can make your day. I ran across this one in yahoo news. Its from the New Yorker and the columnist is also a comedian. Its a take off of sorts on Ben Carson's belief that the pyramids were originally used to store grain despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Hope you get a chuckle from this.

After a couple of months saving up I finally got a 1TB Seagate backup for my laptop. Right now I'm doing a full system backup, a little over two hours to complete. It wasn't expensive, 74.00(USD), but its a lot on a fixed income. Fortunately all my bills are current, up to date, no arrears. I make sure all of that happens before anything else. So now no more worries. I'm using EaseUS ToDo for the backup. To me that's one big relief.
